Stories and Wisdom from Best-Selling Author Patrick Mathews
Forever With You August 2012 Release |
Ever try to imagine what the afterlife is like—and what fantastic things our loved ones are experiencing there? Are they watching over us? Visiting now and then? And what will happen when we inevitably pass from this world to the next?
Heavy stuff, but endlessly fascinating. Perhaps our best chance of penetrating these mysteries is through the insights of a spirit communicator.
Patrick Mathews, one of the most recognized mediums in the country, shares vivid and unforgettable stories and wisdom in Forever With You. With humor and grace, he reveals what it's like to be a medium and dispels many misconceptions. This follow-up to the best-selling Never Say Goodbye also explores heaven and hell, God and angels, reincarnation, old souls and higher souls, the purpose of our physical life, and more.
Never Say Goodbye |
Most importantly, Mathews helps us understand how our loved ones have (and haven’t) changed since crossing over—and how they remain close to us.
Mathews says, “The truth is that your loved ones in spirit are not only in Heaven watching you, but still continue to participate with you in this life as well! There is no separation from spirits from this physical realm … as this world is essentially also a part of Heaven.”
Here’s an excerpt from Forever With You that illuminates how our friends and family in spirit continue to communicate with us.
Do you have a “gut instinct”?
This is a term used to describe a feeling you have sometimes in the pit of your stomach that directs you to do something. But what is it really?
It’s an odd concept, if you think about it, why would your “gut” have an instinct in the first place? Does your appendix have an instinct? How about your left toe, what is it telling you to do today? See my point? Even though the truth is that your “gut” does not really have an instinct, there is something that does takes place down there.
That sensation you have experienced from time to time deep inside your stomach can be your own intuitive/psychic ability coming through, but most of the time it is actually a loved one in spirit guiding you into doing what you should be doing!
Spirits will give you that “feeling” of something being right or something being wrong, and by doing so, will help guide you with decisions you are facing. But what happens sometimes is that “gut” tells you to do one thing and your “brain” tells you to do another, and this is where you can run into problems.
I remember my sister Kathy being at a store one time and on the counter were various “impulse” items that stores place near the registers. When she was just about to pay for the items she was purchasing, she glanced over and saw a can of air that fixes flat tires. For whatever reason, something in her gut was telling her to buy it, and at first she resisted. She thought to herself that she had seen the product a thousand times before so why buy it now? But she kept experiencing a “nagging” feeling so she gave in and purchased the can of tire fix.
When Kathy got back to her car, she tossed the can of air in the trunk and went on her way. About a week later, after shopping at a mall one evening, Kathy discovered that her car had a flat tire! At first Kathy became worried, as not only was she all alone late at night in a parking garage, but was also unsure of the condition of the spare tire, which she had never used. Then suddenly relieved, Kathy remembered she had, in fact, given in to her gut instinct and purchased the can of air to fix the tire. It took her only a matter of minutes to inflate her tire and she was on her way, safe and sound, happy that she’d acted on her gut instinct.
Remember, it can be big life-changing decisions or small, everyday occurrences that your loved ones in spirit help you with, but always listen to what your gut is telling you, as your gut/loved ones in spirit are never wrong!
